Madison County, KY – Two Injured in I-75 Collision involving Four Semis
Madison County, KY (October 17, 2023) – In the early hours of Tuesday, October 17th, a collision involving four semi-trucks on southbound I-75 resulted in injuries to two individuals.
According to local deputies, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. when a driver reportedly dozed off at the wheel, causing a collision with a parked semi on the shoulder of the interstate. This initial impact triggered a chain reaction, leading the parked semi to collide with another semi, which then hit a fourth semi.
Notably, the first semi was the only one in motion during the accident.
As a consequence of this multi-vehicle collision, traffic in the area moved slowly throughout the morning while cleanup efforts were in progress.
The two injured individuals were promptly transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the full extent of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
