Manatee Co, FL – Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 N Near SR-70

Manatee Co, FL (April 11, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash resulting in injuries occurred Friday afternoon, April 11, on Interstate 75 north, just before Exit 217 at SR-70 in Manatee County. The accident took place shortly before 3:05 p.m. and led to major traffic disruptions as two left lanes were blocked by emergency activity.

According to Florida 511 and local authorities, multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, and several occupants sustained injuries. Emergency responders from the Florida Highway Patrol, Manatee County Fire Rescue, and other local agencies rushed to the scene to assess the situation and assist those hurt in the crash. The injured individuals received on-site medical attention, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been made public.

Fire crews and Road Rangers worked to clear the wreckage while law enforcement diverted traffic around the crash zone. Drivers were urged to reduce speed and move over as required by Florida law, with backups extending for several miles during peak afternoon hours.
