Marietta, GA – Auto Wreck with Injuries Reported on I-75 near Delk Rd (Exit 261)
Marietta, GA (February 2, 2023) – Authorities out of Marietta were called to provide assistance at the site of a traffic accident that took place on Wednesday evening and sent at least one victim to a local hospital with injuries.
At around 5:05 p.m. on February 1, authorities responded to the scene of a car crash that occurred on Interstate 75.
Preliminary reports indicate that two left lanes of travel were blocked on the northbound side of Interstate 75 near Delk Road at Exit 261.
The Georgia Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.
Paramedics responded to care for the injured victims and transport them to area hospitals.
The Georgia Highway Patrol and area firefighters remained at the scene for an extended period while working to clear the roadway.
The GHP has an active investigation into the accident to determine the cause.
