Marietta, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on I-75 near South Marietta Parkway

Marietta, GA (January 29, 2023) – A traffic accident took place in the Marietta area that left at least one person hurt. The accident was reported at around 3:45 p.m. on January 27.

According to local law enforcement, a traffic crash occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 75. The incident blocked the right shoulder of the roadway near South Marietta Parkway.

The Georgia Department of Transportation reported some delays in traffic throughout the area.

The Georgia Highway Patrol responded to the scene with area firefighters to provide assistance.

Paramedics went to work quickly on providing treatment for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one of the people involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
