Marietta, GA – Injury Accident Reported on I-75 near Canton Rd Connector

Marietta, GA (January 18, 2023) – A traffic accident took place near exit 267 on Interstate 75 in the Marietta area on Tuesday evening that left at least one person injured, according to reports.

At around 5:20 p.m., on January 17, the Georgia Department of Transportation notified the Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters that a crash required assistance on the southbound side of Interstate 75.

Emergency crews responded to the scene of the accident and immediately blocked off multiple lanes in the area near the Canton Road connector at exit 267.

Emergency crews secured the area to prevent further damage to the vehicles involved as they worked to clear the road.

Medics were called to care for victims at the scene and transfer them to area hospitals.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
