Marietta, GA – Injury Accident Reported on Larry McDonald Memorial Highway near Canton Rd Connector

Marietta, GA (February 6, 2023) – A traffic accident was reported in the Marietta area that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries.

At around 8:20 p.m., on February 4, the Georgia Department of Transportation notified the Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters that a crash had taken place on Larry McDonald Memorial Highway, Interstate 75.

According to officials, a traffic accident blocked the left with three lanes of travel on the southbound side of the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near exit 267 for the Canton Road connector.

Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the road.

At least one person suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is actively investigating the accident at this time.
