Marion County, FL – Accident with Injuries Reported in I-75 Accident near MM 370

Marion County, FL (January 13, 2023) – A traffic accident occurred in Marion County on Wednesday afternoon that resulted in injuries. At around 3:10 p.m., January 11, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic wreck on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, a traffic collision blocked the southbound side of the interstate. The incident caused delays that extended from mile marker 370 back to the Alachua Marion County line.

The crash prompted authorities to block off the two left lanes of travel as they worked to clear the roadway. Emergency crews spent an extended time at the scene of the accident.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The incident remains under investigation.
