Protect Your Legal Rights After an I-75 Accident
Every year, Interstate 75 is the site of thousands of traffic collisions. There are many cases where people are harmed as a result of accidents that are preventable. Unfortunately, there are multiple hazards on Interstate 75 that make this road particularly dangerous when compared to other roads in our country. Some of the potential hazards that you may run into while traveling on Interstate 75 include:
Heavy truck traffic: Interstate 75 sees its fair share of commercial truck traffic. While traveling on Interstate 75, it is important that you maintain a safe distance from these large motor vehicles. Truck drivers often take more time and distance to come to a complete stop. If they are approaching traffic congestion at a high rate of speed, it can be nearly impossible to avoid a collision.
Congestion: Given the fact that Interstate 75 runs through several major cities in the United States, congestion is no surprise. While traveling in heavily congested areas, it is important that you always remain alert to your surroundings. Drivers are more likely to become impatient while sitting in traffic. This can lead to them engaging in erratic behavior that can cause harm to others.
Reckless drivers: The leading cause of traffic accidents in the United States is driver error. Unfortunately, Interstate 75 is no exception. We see a fair share of drunk drivers traveling on Interstate 75. In addition, we see countless drivers who are speeding, distracted by their cell phones, or switching lanes recklessly. If you see a driver who is engaging in reckless actions, you must keep a safe distance from them to avoid being harmed.
