Marion County, FL – Pedestrian Killed in Car Crash on I-75 near MM 362

Marion County, FL (January 25, 2023) – A pedestrian accident report in on Monday morning in Marion County claimed one person’s life. On January 23, the Florida Highway Patrol was summoned to a crash that occurred on Interstate 75.

Reports provided by FHP indicate that at around 1:50 a.m., a red Ford Mustang was driving south on Interstate 75. As the vehicle proceeded through the area of biomarker 362, it struck a white male pedestrian.

The two people inside the Ford, a 32-year-old male passenger and the 33-year-old female driver, were both uninjured in the crash.

The pedestrian, who has not been identified, came to rest on the south lanes of the road. The victim was severely hurt. Emergency crews pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
