McDonough, GA – Auto Accident on I-75 near Jonesboro Rd Ends in Injuries

McDonough, GA (February 16, 2023) – The Georgia Highway Patrol responded to provide assistance at the scene of an accident with injuries.

The crash was reported by the Georgia Department of Transportation at around 2:00 p.m. on February 15.

According to law enforcement, vehicles collided on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near Jonesboro Road. The incident caused some delays in traffic that extended back as far as Highway 20-81 while crews remained at the scene.

At least one person was injured as a result of the accident. EMS responded to the scene to care for the injured victims and transport them to local hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
