McDonough, GA – Injuries Reported in Traffic Wreck on I-75 near Jonesboro Rd (Exit 221)

McDonough, GA (February 5, 2023) – Emergency officials throughout Henry County responded to the site of a traffic crash that took place on Saturday evening that ended in injuries.

On February 4, the Georgia Highway Patrol was notified that a traffic accident had occurred on Interstate 75.

Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and immediately secured the southbound side of the road.

The Georgia Department of Transportation reported some delays in traffic on the southbound side of the roadway near Jonesboro Road at exit 221 as emergency crews remained at the scene to clear the roadway.

At least one person suffered injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further care.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
