Miami Twp, OH – Semi-Truck Wreck with Police Cruiser on I-75, Injuries Reported

Miami Township, OH (January 21, 2025) – A series of crashes on Interstate 75 Northbound near Interstate 675 resulted in injuries early Tuesday morning, January 21. The first incident involved a rollover crash, prompting a response from a Miami Township Police officer. During the investigation, a semi-truck collided with the officer’s cruiser, causing significant damage to the vehicle. Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) cameras captured the aftermath, showing the left lanes closed past Austin Landing. Photos revealed another vehicle overturned on its side from the initial accident.

At least one individual was transported to a nearby hospital by medics for further evaluation, according to state troopers on the scene. The situation escalated with a third crash reported around 2:06 a.m., involving as many as four vehicles. Emergency crews returned to the scene to manage the additional collisions. Authorities, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Miami Township Police, are investigating the incidents to determine the sequence of events and contributing factors.
