Monroe Co, MI – One Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-75 at Elm Ave Exit

Monroe Co, MI (May 14, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on Wednesday morning in Monroe County, Michigan, on the northbound side of I-75 at the Elm Ave exit (Exit 14). The incident took place around 8:27 a.m. and resulted in the blockage of the two right lanes as emergency responders worked to assist the injured and clear the scene.

According to reports from local authorities, two vehicles collided under circumstances that are still under investigation. One of the drivers sustained injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care. Officials indicated the injuries were moderate but not life-threatening. The other driver was reportedly uninjured but remained on site to speak with law enforcement.

Firefighters were dispatched to the location and played a crucial role in extracting one of the vehicles from the shoulder and managing fluid spills on the roadway. Both Michigan State Police and Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies were present, redirecting traffic and documenting the crash. Lane closures remained in place for over an hour, creating heavy delays along the interstate during the morning commute.
