Monroe Co, MI – SB I-75 Closed After Injury Crash Near Front St Exit

Monroe Co, MI (May 6, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash injury occurred Tuesday afternoon, May 6, on southbound Interstate 75 just after the Front Street exit (Exit 13) in Monroe County. The collision caused the left two lanes to be blocked, creating significant delays for drivers in the area.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:11 p.m., when two vehicles collided on the highway. Michigan State Police and local emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. Initial investigations suggest that one vehicle lost control, causing it to veer into the path of another vehicle, leading to a chain-reaction crash.

Firefighters and EMS crews quickly responded to the scene, working to extricate one individual who was trapped in their vehicle. The driver sustained moderate injuries, including chest and leg pain, and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
