Monroe Co., TN – One Injured in I-75 SB Crash Near MM 65
Monroe County, TN (May 24, 2025) – One person was injured early Friday morning, May 23, following a two-vehicle crash on I-75 South near mile marker 65 in Monroe County. According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the crash occurred at around 12:06 a.m. when a 1997 Ford Mustang traveling southbound attempted to overtake a commercial vehicle using the left lane. The Mustang, driven by 28-year-old Eddie Fox, lost control during the maneuver and struck the rear of a 2004 Nissan Frontier. The driver of the Nissan suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed. Eddie Fox was not injured but was charged with vehicular assault and driving on a revoked license. His passenger, a 26-year-old man, was also charged as an accessory after the fact. THP officials are continuing their investigation.
