Monroe, MI – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway (I-75) near Luna Pier Rd

Monroe, MI (February 22, 2023) – Authorities responded to the scene of an accident on the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway that sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries on Tuesday, February 21.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., a collision blocked the left lane of travel on the southbound side of the interstate. Authorities responded to the scene and secured the road near Luna Pier Road at Exit 6.

The Department of Transportation reported traffic delays that extended back to Otter Creek Road at Exit 9.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the accident to provide care to victims who suffered injuries. At least one of the involved parties was then transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The Michigan State Police are currently investigating the accident.
