Monroe, MI – Injuries Reported in I-75 Crash near Summit St

Monroe, MI (March 13, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place in Monroe on Sunday morning that sent at least one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

The accident was reported at around 11:45 a.m. on March 12.

According to officials, a collision took place on the southbound side of Interstate 75 during the morning hours. The incident blocked two right lanes of travel near Summit Street.

Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident to provide care for the victims who suffered injuries.

The Michigan Department of Transportation reported delays in traffic that extended back to Erie Road.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
