Monroe, MI – MDOT Reports Injury Crash on I-75 near Otter Creek Rd (Exit 9)

Monroe, MI (February 28, 2023) – The Michigan Department of Transportation notified the police and local firefighters that a car crash took place in Monroe that required assistance.

The accident was reported at approximately 1:10 p.m. on February 26.

According to officials, a crash blocked the two right lanes of travel on the southbound side of the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near Exit 9 at Otter Creek Road.

Authorities reported delays in the area as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris. At least one person was injured in the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
