North Port, FL – Auto Accident with Injuries Reported on I-75 near Exit 182

North Port, FL (February 25, 2023) – At 3:50 a.m. on February 25, emergency crews across Sarasota County were called to provide help at the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 75.

Preliminary reports from the Florida Highway Patrol show that several vehicles collided on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident caused delays in the area just beyond exit 182 Sumter Boulevard.

The crash blocked the left lane of travel, causing some disruptions in the area as emergency crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the scene.

Emergency medical services provided treatment to the injured victims and transported them to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
