North Port, FL (March 5, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred on the morning of March 5 on I-75 southbound near mile marker 174, close to the Kings Highway interchange. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash involved a truck carrying a crane and a tractor-trailer hauling a flatbed trailer. The tractor-trailer was traveling at a reduced speed with its hazard lights activated while moving uphill. The truck carrying the crane failed to slow down in time, colliding with the rear of the tractor-trailer. The impact of the crash sent debris onto the roadway, leading to another vehicle striking the wreckage.
