North Port, FL – Multiple Injuries in Two-Car Crash on I-75 SB at Tuckers Grade

North Port, FL (March 2, 2025) – A serious two-car crash occurred on Monday afternoon, March 3, on Interstate 75 Southbound at Tuckers Grade in North Port, Sarasota County, leaving several individuals injured. The incident, reported by the Florida Highway Patrol, happened around 3:30 p.m. near the exit for Tuckers Grade, just south of the busy intersection with Price Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a sedan driven by an unidentified individual collided with the rear of a truck. The crash caused significant damage to both vehicles, with the truck reportedly veering off the highway and coming to a stop in the median. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, and the drivers of both vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Authorities have not yet released further details on the individuals involved, and the crash remains under investigation.

The Florida Highway Patrol has closed a section of I-75 Southbound at Tuckers Grade to investigate the cause of the accident and clear the wreckage. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes, particularly as traffic in the North Port area is known for heavy congestion during peak hours.
