Oakland Co, MI – Crash with Injuries Slows NB I-75 at Sashabaw
Oakland Co., MI (April 16, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred Wednesday evening in Oakland County, disrupting traffic on northbound I-75 shortly after the Sashabaw Rd area. The collision, which took place around 7:28 p.m., resulted in the blockage of the left lane and left shoulder, creating slowdowns along the busy interstate. Emergency response teams were promptly dispatched to the scene, including fire rescue personnel, paramedics, and state troopers.
According to preliminary reports, the crash involved two vehicles traveling in the northbound lanes. One of the cars sustained significant damage on the driver’s side. At least one person was injured and treated on-site by emergency medical crews before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Although the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, the individual required immediate medical attention.
Firefighters assisted with clearing debris from the roadway and ensuring that the damaged vehicles did not pose additional risks to passing drivers. Law enforcement controlled the flow of traffic and began documenting the scene for investigative purposes. Motorists experienced delays as traffic was funneled into the remaining open lanes.
