Oakland Co, MI – One Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-75 NB at 9 Mile Rd

Oakland Co, MI (April 30, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash injury occurred Wednesday morning on the northbound lanes of I-75 near 9 Mile Rd in Oakland County. The collision happened around 11:25 a.m. and resulted in the closure of the right lane and right shoulder while emergency crews worked at the scene.

According to reports from Michigan State Police and local responders, two vehicles collided in the right travel lane under circumstances that are still under investigation. The impact left one vehicle partially blocking the right shoulder, while the other came to rest in the active lane.

A 30-year-old male driver sustained a back injury and was transported by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for further evaluation and treatment. The second driver, a 45-year-old woman, reported minor neck pain but declined transport after being evaluated on site by EMS.

Firefighters from the local department assisted in securing the vehicles and containing fluid spills, while state troopers directed traffic and initiated an investigation. Tow trucks were dispatched, and recovery operations lasted for approximately one hour, causing traffic to slow through early afternoon.
