Oakland Co, MI – One Injured in Two-Car Crash on SB I-75 After E Holly Rd
Oakland Co, MI (May 13, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday shutting down all southbound lanes of Interstate 75 just after E Holly Rd in Oakland County. The crash occurred around 1:56 a.m. and triggered an immediate response from local emergency services, who issued a freeway closure advisory shortly after arriving at the scene.
According to the Michigan State Police and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, two vehicles collided under unknown circumstances while traveling along SB I-75. The impact caused major damage to both vehicles. Emergency medical personnel, along with fire rescue units, were dispatched to the area, where firefighters had to extricate at least one of the occupants from a heavily damaged vehicle.
At least one individual suffered injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been officially disclosed, and the names of those involved have not yet been released by authorities.
Traffic on SB I-75 remained completely blocked for several hours as law enforcement conducted a preliminary investigation and cleanup crews worked to clear the wreckage from the freeway.
