Oakland, MI – I-75 Accident near 11 Mile Rd (Exit 62) Ends in Injuries

Oakland, MI (December 30, 2022) – The Michigan State Police reported to the scene of a traffic accident that took place in the Oakland area on Thursday evening that resulted in injuries. At around 4:35 p.m., on December 29, authorities were notified that a crash occurred on Interstate 75.

Preliminary investigations show that a traffic wreck blocked the southbound side of the interstate near 11 Mile Road at exit 62. The incident caused stop-and-go traffic that extended back to 14 Mile Road at exit 65.

The Michigan Department of Transportation reported severe delays throughout the area.

EMS responded to the scene to care for injured victims and transfer them to local hospitals.

The Michigan state police remained at the scene for an extended period while assisting the firefighters in clearing the roadway. Investigations into the crash are currently underway.
