Oakland, MI – Injuries Reported in I-75 Collision near 11 Mile Rd

Oakland, MI (March 2, 2023) – On  March 1, the Michigan State Police and local firefighters out of Oakland responded to assist on-site at a motor vehicle accident that took place and ended in injuries.

Preliminary reports provided by MSP show that a crash occurred on the northbound side of the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near 11 Mile Road at around 1:05 p.m. As a result of the collision, delays in traffic extended back to Interstate 696 as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one person required transportation to a nearby hospital in order to receive additional medical attention after sustaining injuries.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances that led up to the collision taking place.
