Ocala, FL – Pickup Truck Driver Ejected in I-75 Crash near Exit 354, Sustains Serious Injuries

Ocala, FL (July 12, 2023) – A collision involving a semi-truck and a pick-up truck occurred on Tuesday, July 11th, in Ocala. The accident occurred around 8:35 a.m. on I-75 Southbound, just past the 354 exit, when a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided. As a result of the crash, the semi-truck jackknifed while the pickup truck flipped onto its roof.

The Ocala Fire Rescue crews reacted to the scene, working diligently to address the aftermath of the crash. In response to the incident, emergency crews temporarily redirected traffic off the interstate at the exit.

Tragically, one person was ejected from their vehicle during the collision and was subsequently transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The victim’s name has not been disclosed at this time.

The authorities continue to investigate the accident’s circumstances to determine the factors contributing to the collision.
