Orange Township, OH – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on I-75 Exit Ramp to SR 103

Orange Township, OH (December 5, 2024) – A tragic accident early Thursday morning, December 5, claimed the life of a pedestrian on the southbound exit ramp to State Route 103 in Orange Township, Hancock County. The crash occurred at approximately 6:22 a.m. on December 5, when Joshua Little, 42, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, exited his 2009 Chevrolet HHR, which had broken down on the shoulder of I-75. Little was walking south on the exit ramp to State Route 103 when he was struck by a 2016 Ford Edge driven by Michael Rahrig, 64, of Findlay, Ohio. Emergency responders from the Bluffton Police Department and EMS arrived promptly, but despite their efforts, Little was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for further examination. Rahrig, the driver of the Ford Edge, did not sustain any injuries. The accident caused the southbound ramp to remain closed for nearly an hour as crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation, R and A Towing, and D and D Towing cleared the area. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the circumstances of the crash.
