Pasco County, FL – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on I-75 near SR-56

Pasco County, FL (February 21, 2023) – A crash in Pasco County on Interstate 75 South caused all lanes to be closed beyond Florida State Route 56 on Monday evening.

Just before 8:15 p.m. on February 20, emergency crews were called to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 75.

According to reports, vehicles collided on the southbound side of the interstate. The incident caused severe delays in the area of Florida State Route 56 after authorities had to close down all of the lanes while providing assistance at the scene.

Those who were injured were treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene. At least one individual was sent to a nearby hospital for additional medical treatment after the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol. Our thoughts go out to those injured as a result of this accident as we hope for their full recovery.
