Peach Co, GA – One Injured in I-75 SB Crash Before SR-49

Peach Co, GA (April 21, 2025) – An injury crash occurred on Monday afternoon, April 21, in Peach County on the southbound side of Interstate 75, just before SR-49 near mile marker 148.5. The incident, reported shortly before 2:00 p.m., led to the blockage of the two left lanes and prompted a rapid response from emergency crews.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the crash involved multiple vehicles during a period of moderate traffic. Witnesses reported that one of the vehicles may have lost control before the collision, though the exact cause remains under investigation. At least one person sustained injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

The Peach County Fire Department, along with Georgia State Patrol officers, responded to the scene and worked to assist those involved and manage the traffic backup. Authorities temporarily redirected vehicles into the right lane while crews cleared the scene of debris and damaged vehicles. Tow trucks were deployed, and full clearance was achieved shortly after the estimated time.
