Piqua, OH – Injuries Reported in I-75 Crash near State Route 29

Piqua, OH (January 23, 2023) – Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol at Piqua were called to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic crash on Saturday morning. At around 5:20 a.m. on January 21, authorities were notified by the Ohio Department of Transportation that a crash had occurred on Interstate 75.

According to OSHP reports, a vehicle collision occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 75 near State Route 29. The incident prompted officials to block off multiple lanes in the area.

At least two vehicles involved in the accident crashed into a guard rail following the initial crash. The incident blocked multiple lanes in the area. Authorities responded to the scene to provide assistance.

Medical personnel rendered aid to victims and transferred those who required further medical attention to local hospitals.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is actively investigating.
