Punta Gorda, FL – I-75 Truck Crash near MM 153 Sends Man to Hospital with Injuries

Punta Gorda, FL (February 3, 2023) – One man from Fort Myers was hospitalized with injuries following a crash that took place in Charlotte County on Saturday morning, January 28.

At around 1 a.m., authorities were called to the scene of a traffic crash that had taken place on Interstate 75.

Preliminary reports show that a 27-year-old man was driving a car north on Interstate 75 when his vehicle became involved in a collision with a semi-truck near mile marker 153.

The man suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident.

Two people inside of the semi-truck, a 58-year-old man from Oakland Park, Florida, and a 60-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were not injured in the accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
