Rockcastle County, KY – MVFD Responds to Injury Crash on I-75

Rockcastle County, KY (February 17, 2023) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital after hazardous road conditions caused several accidents to occur.

On February 16, the Kentucky State Police and the Mount Vernon Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision on Interstate 75.

Reports show that multiple vehicles were involved in accidents along the interstate as a result of heavy water on the road.

Emergency crews secured a large portion of the roadway to prevent further damage or injuries.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide medical care to the victims who were harmed. At least one victim was subsequently transported to an area hospital for further care.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
