Rocky Top, TN – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 S Results in Injuries

Rocky Top, TN (August 14, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident on I-75 South near Rocky Top resulted in injuries on Wednesday morning, August 14th. The crash, which occurred near mile marker 128, involved two commercial vehicles and a passenger car. The incident was first reported around 2 a.m., according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT).  Emergency responders, including local police and medical teams, provided on-site assistance to the injured. Some victims were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation and treatment. The extent of the injuries sustained in the crash has not yet been disclosed. Traffic along I-75 South was diverted at exit 129, leading to long delays as authorities worked to clear the scene. Lanes were finally reopened just after 1 p.m., allowing traffic to resume. The TDOT continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
