Saginaw County, MI – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75/M-46, Injuries Reported
Saginaw County, MI (January 29, 2025) – On Wednesday morning, January 29, a suspected drunk driver crashed into a Michigan State Police (MSP) vehicle on I-75 near the M-46 exit in Saginaw County. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. while a trooper was responding to an earlier crash on the northbound side of the freeway. According to MSP, the trooper was outside their patrol vehicle when another driver struck it, forcing the trooper to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the evasion. Meanwhile, the occupants of the vehicles involved in the initial crash were also injured in the second collision. All injured parties, including the trooper, were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The at-fault driver was arrested at the scene, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the incident.
