Sarasota Co., FL – Several Injured in Crash on I-75 S Beyond Exit 182

Sarasota County, FL (April 20, 2025) – On the afternoon of April 20, a multi-vehicle accident with injuries was reported on southbound Interstate 75 just past Exit 182 for Sumter Boulevard in Sarasota County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities arrived at the scene to find multiple vehicles with visible damage, one of which appeared to have veered off the road. Several individuals sustained injuries in the crash. No word on whether transportation to a medical facility was necessary. The Florida Highway Patrol managed traffic control while fire rescue teams from Sarasota County worked to clear the wreckage and assist the injured. The accident is under investigation. Authorities are continuing to collect witness statements and examine available traffic camera footage.
