Sarasota County, FL – Accident on I-75 near Exit 210 (Fruitville Rd) Ends in Injuries

Sarasota County, FL (February 5, 2023) – Emergency officials out of Sarasota County responded to the scene of a major traffic accident that took place on Sunday morning that ended in injuries.

On February 5, the Florida Highway Patrol was notified that their help was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, at around 4:40 a.m., a traffic accident took place on the southbound side of the interstate highway. The accident prompted officials to close off the left lane of travel near exit 210 for Fruitville Road.

Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to clear the roadway.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to care for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are currently being investigated.
