Sarasota County, FL – Accident with Injuries Snarls Traffic on I-75 near Clark Rd

Sarasota County, FL (January 27, 2023) – A major traffic accident took place on Thursday morning in Sarasota that resulted in injuries. On January 26, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the site of a traffic crash on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, just before 8 a.m., a collision between vehicles occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident blocked all of the northbound lanes of travel near Clark Road.

Highway Patrol responded to the scene to provide assistance. Injuries were confirmed as a result of the crash. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide care to multiple victims. At least one person was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
