Sarasota, FL – Car Crash and Fire on I-75 near Clark Rd Results in Injuries 

Sarasota, FL (August 7, 2024) – A serious accident involving a car and a semi-truck occurred on the morning of August 7th on I-75 near Clark Road. The crash reported around 7:40 a.m., led to the auto catching fire and causing significant road closures. A 56-year-old man from Sarasota driving southbound collided with a parked semi-truck on the shoulder. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The driver of the semi-truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident to determine the cause.
