Sarasota, FL – Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on EB I-75/Clark Rd Leaves One Dead

Sarasota, FL (May 26, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, May 26th, a deadly crash occurred on I-75 eastbound at Clark Road in Sarasota. Around 2:26 a.m., a 24-year-old man from Avon Park collided with a Jeep that was slowing down. The impact caused his sedan to veer off the road, crash into a streetlight, and then a fence, ejecting him from the vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the young man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Both drivers sustained injuries and were quickly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the crash.
