Sarasota, FL – I-75 Crash Reported near Bee Ridge Rd Takes Motorcyclist’s Life

Sarasota, FL (March 7, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident took place on Saturday evening in the Sarasota area that claimed one person’s life.

The accident was reported at around 6:40 p.m. on March 4.

Reports provided by the Florida Highway Patrol show that an SUV and a motorcycle collided on Interstate 75 in the area near Bee Ridge Road. The incident prompted officials to close the highway for an extended period.

The motorcyclist, age 20, suffered critical injuries in the crash. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he passed away.

The driver of the SUV was not injured due to the accident.

At this time, the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
