Sault Ste. Marie, MI – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-75 with Injuries

Sault Ste. Marie, MI (September 1, 2024) – A serious collision occurred just before 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, at the entrance to Walmart on I-75, involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. The crash prompted an immediate response from the Sault Ste. Marie City Fire Department, EMS, and local law enforcement agencies. Those with injuries were taken to area hospitals for care and examination.  The situation caused significant traffic disruptions in the area as multiple law enforcement agencies continued investigating the crash. Authorities have not released any official information regarding the extent of the injuries sustained by either the motorcycle rider or the vehicle’s driver. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as authorities work to determine the cause of the collision.
