Scott County, KY – Accident on I-75 near MM 123 Takes One Life

Scott County, KY (January 31, 2023) – One person has died as a result of a traffic crash that took place on Sunday in Scott County.

On January 29, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department responded to a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 75.

According to officials, a traffic collision occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near mile marker 123 as they worked to clear the area. The incident caused severe delays in traffic along the northbound side of the interstate.

One person suffered fatal injuries due to the accident. Authorities pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

A second victim suffered serious injuries in the crash. The victim was admitted for the treatment of life-threatening injuries.

At this time, the Scott County Sheriff’s office is investigating the accident.
