Sumter County, FL – Auto Wreck with Injuries Reported on I-75 near MM 314

Sumter County, FL (March 14, 2023) – The Florida Highway Patrol and area firefighters were called to the scene of an accident that took place on Monday evening in Sumter County and ended in injuries.

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on March 13, calls for help were received regarding an automobile collision on Interstate 75.

FHP reports show that a crash flocked to write lanes of travel on the southbound side of the interstate. The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway near mile marker 314. The incident caused delays in traffic that extended back to mile marker 315 as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for medical care.

Florida Highway Patrol has launched a crash investigation to determine the cause.
