Sumter County, FL – Injuries Reported in Auto Accident on I-75 near MM 318.2
Sumter County, FL (January 31, 2023) – Emergency officials were called to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic crash in Sumter County that had taken place on Monday morning, January 30.
According to reports provided by the Florida Department of Transportation, at around 6:14 a.m., a vehicle accident blocked two right lanes of travel on the southbound side of Interstate 75. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene and immediately blocked off the roadway near mile marker 318.2.
Emergency officials immediately went to work on removing the damaged vehicles from the scene.
Medics were called to care for the victims on site before transporting them to area hospitals.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
