Sun City Center, FL – Accident with Injuries on I-75 near Big Bend Rd

Sun City Center, FL (January 27, 2023) – Authorities were dispatched to the site of a traffic crash that took place in Hillsborough County on Thursday morning that ended in injuries. On January 26, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a traffic incident on Interstate 75.

Crash investigations show that just after 6:30 a.m., a collision between vehicles blocked multiple lanes on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident caused delays in traffic in the area near Big Bend Road.

Officials responded to the scene of the accident and blocked off two lanes on the roadway, allowing vehicles to pass through using one inside lane.

Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that injuries were reported in the accident. Paramedics were called to care for all of the injured victims before transporting those who required further assistance to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
