Toledo, OH – 1 Seriously Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash with Entrapment on I-75 NB
Toledo, OH (October 8, 2025) – A serious traffic accident with entrapment was reported Monday morning, October 6, on Interstate 75 northbound near mile marker 204 in Toledo.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:12 a.m. and involved a single vehicle. Firefighters, EMS, and rescue crews responded with extrication tools to free an adult trapped inside the car. Once extricated, the patient was transported to a nearby hospital with significant traumatic injuries.
Police units were dispatched to manage traffic and assist with the investigation. Additional emergency calls in the area reported a person experiencing difficulty breathing near McKinley Avenue and nearby streets, possibly linked to the crash response.
The Toledo Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the collision, including whether driver impairment, speed, or medical distress may have contributed.
