Venice, FL – FHP Dispatched to Injury Crash on I-75 near Exit 191

Venice, FL (February 4, 2023) – A traffic accident was reported in Sarasota County on Friday that left at least one of the people involved with injuries.

On February 3, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were dispatched to provide assistance on-site at a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 75.

Crash reports from FHP indicate that multiple vehicles collided on the northbound side of the interstate in the area just before exit 191 at River Road.

The accidents caused delays in traffic just after 4 p.m. due to its blocking of the right lane of travel.

Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately started to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.

Paramedics were called to care for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was transported to a local medical facility, where they underwent further care for the injuries they suffered.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are being investigated.
