Wayne Co, MI – Crash Blocks Right Ln on I-75/NB at M-8, Injuries Reported

Wayne Co, MI (Apr 28, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash disrupted traffic on northbound Interstate 75 at M-8 in Wayne County on Monday afternoon, April 28. The incident occurred at approximately 4:28 p.m., blocking the right lane and contributing to traffic delays during peak commuting hours.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation and Wayne County officials, emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene. Two individuals were involved in the crash. One driver, a 34-year-old man, sustained minor injuries, including whiplash, and was treated at the scene by paramedics. The second driver, a 42-year-old woman, suffered more serious injuries, including a fractured arm and leg. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Firefighters were also present, working to clear debris and ensure that there were no fuel or fluid leaks. Law enforcement remained on scene to investigate the cause of the crash and to direct vehicles around the blocked right lane. Traffic in the area was slowed significantly as vehicles merged into the remaining lanes to bypass the wreck.
