Wayne Co, MI – Crash with Injuries on SB I-75 Past M-8

Wayne Co, MI (May 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred early Thursday morning on southbound I-75 shortly after the M-8 interchange, prompting emergency response and traffic delays.

The crash took place around 4:01 a.m. and involved two vehicles traveling in the southbound lanes. According to early reports from the Michigan State Police, one of the vehicles struck the rear of the other at highway speed, causing significant damage to both.

Emergency responders, including Michigan State Police troopers and Wayne County EMS, arrived on the scene and found one individual with visible injuries, including facial lacerations and possible internal trauma.

Firefighters assisted with stabilizing one of the vehicles and clearing the road of debris and fluids. The injured person was treated on-site before being transported to a local hospital. Their condition has not been disclosed, but the injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
